1. What is InfraLow Neurofeedback?
InfraLow Neurofeedback (ILF Neurofeedback) is a gentle, non-invasive form of brain training that helps the brain improve its ability to self-regulate. It works with very slow brainwave activity that helps to increase emotional regulation, stress responses, improve sleep and attention, and helps to stabilize the nervous system.
2. Does anything go into my brain?
No. Nothing is put into your brain and no electricity is sent into your head.
Small sensors are placed on your scalp to measure your brain’s activity. The sensors act as observers to your brain activity, without stimulating or altering the brain directly.
3. What happens during a session?
Most clients sit comfortably in a chair and watch a movie, animation, or visual display while listening to audio through speakers or headphones.
Sensors are attached to the scalp with a conductive paste. As your brain activity changes, the movie or sound changes subtly in response. Your brain automatically notices these changes and begins learning healthier patterns without conscious effort.
4. What will I feel DURING a session?
Many people feel relaxed and calm. Others feel nothing different at all.
Some clients notice:
- Deep relaxation
- Mental clarity
- Reduced anxiety
- Better sleep that night
- Feeling more emotionally balanced
The training is very subtle and passive. You do not need to “try” to make something happen. Your brain will do the work automatically.
5. Is InfraLow Neurofeedback safe?
Yes. Neurofeedback has been used for decades and is considered non-invasive and drug-free. Because InfraLow training works very gently with the nervous system, it is often chosen for individuals who are highly sensitive, anxious, or dealing with trauma-related symptoms.
6. What conditions can InfraLow Neurofeedback help with?
People commonly seek InfraLow Neurofeedback for:
- Anxiety
- Panic attacks
- ADHD
- Trauma and PTSD
- Emotional dysregulation
- Sleep difficulties
- Migraines and headaches
- Depression
- Stress and burnout
- Concussion recovery
- Brain fog
- Sensory sensitivity
- Performance anxiety
The goal is not to “treat” a diagnosis directly but to help the brain function more efficiently and regulate itself better.
7. How many sessions will I need?
This is one of the most common questions.
While some people notice changes within a few sessions, lasting improvements generally occur through a series of sessions. Many neurofeedback providers recommend 20–40 sessions depending on the complexity and duration of symptoms. Consistency matters.
8. How often should I come?
Most providers recommend 1–3 sessions per week.
Regular training helps the brain build on previous learning and often leads to faster, more lasting results.
9. Can I continue taking my medications?
In most cases, yes.
Many people use neurofeedback alongside therapy, medication, exercise, and other wellness practices. Any medication changes should be made only with the prescribing provider.
10. Will the results last?
The goal of neurofeedback is learning. Just like learning to ride a bike, the brain develops new regulatory skills over time.
Many clients find that improvements remain after training is completed, although some people choose occasional maintenance sessions.
11. How is InfraLow Neurofeedback different from traditional neurofeedback?
Traditional neurofeedback often focuses on increasing or decreasing specific brainwave frequencies.
InfraLow Neurofeedback works with the brain’s slowest regulatory rhythms, which appear to be connected to the nervous system’s foundational self-regulation processes. Many practitioners find it particularly helpful for trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, and nervous system stabilization.
12. Will I have to talk about my trauma?
No.
Unlike talk therapy, neurofeedback does not require discussing painful memories or reliving difficult experiences. Many clients appreciate that healing can occur without repeatedly telling their story. Neurofeedback can also compliment ongoing therapy when deeper processing is needed.
13. Why choose Neurofeedback instead of relying on willpower?
Many symptoms such as anxiety, emotional reactivity, poor focus, insomnia, and chronic overwhelm are driven by automatic nervous system patterns—not a lack of motivation.
Neurofeedback works directly with the brain’s self-regulation systems, helping create change at the neurological level rather than relying solely on insight, willpower, or coping skills.
14. How will I know it’s working?
Clients often report improvements such as:
- Falling asleep more easily
- Feeling calmer in stressful situations
- Less emotional reactivity
- Better focus and concentration
- Fewer headaches or migraines
- Improved resilience
- Feeling more like their optimal themselves
Often the first signs are subtle but meaningful improvements in daily functioning.
15. Can I get a refund if I am not seeing the results I want?
No, we do not offer refunds, however we are dedicated to helping clients find results that align with their goals, and would love to offer additional support to you through
A Question Worth Asking Yourself
“If my brain knew how to regulate itself more effectively, what would my life look like?”
For many people, InfraLow Neurofeedback isn’t about becoming someone different—it’s about helping the brain return to the stability, resilience, and calm it was designed to have in the first place.
